Hi to all the Blessed Ones! I'm glad to see so many members in this group! To me, being solitary is the only path to the inner sanctum of the Goddess's chambers.
Not that coven's have their place, of course, but I don't have to put up with disparaging criticism, judgemental and intolerant people. I can curl up in a ball in the corner and still worship the dieties I do.
I wish everyone comfort and enlightenment, an understanding heart and an awareness of the greatness that awaits us all!

Hi, I'm MedicineDoe. I'm solitary because my beliefs are so hodge-podge that I've resigned myself to being a Coven of One. I'm okay with that, though. I can jump around from topic to topic as I study, and go back to a former one when I wish (can you tell I have ADD?).

MM morgana, i'm Meghann and i'm here for pretty much the same reason. i come from a little town in northern california (one of those towns that if you blink you'll miss it kind of towns) and well lets just say there are about 8-10,000 people who live here and about 12-15 churches all of which are christian, catholic, pres, and morman. i found this place on the internet and jumped at the chance to sign up because i only know about 5 people who are wiccan and those people are my friends. so i wanted to meet more like minded people.

I have known something was a little out of the norm of society with me since I was young. About 11 years ago I learned about wicca, pagans and great deal about other worlds and people in that time. However, in the past 7 years part of that 11 years I have had a problem being able to be myself out of fear and tolerance for others requests. For three years of that seven I was asked not to practice so it all got boxed up and only in minor private things would I try and hiding books I would read. But it never seemed to be enough and I feel like somehow I am letting her down the goddess. I am now back home with family and only one of my children the other two are with their father. The little one not being his child and her father having nothing to do with her and himself a devoted pagan. All my things are packed up in storage and I feel so spread out I cant think let alone remember anything. The only thing I have going right now is taking care of her and my gardens and pots that I have just thriving with veggies and flowers. First time in 7 years I havent said "no no i cant do that". 2008 really took alot of my heart and soul away and I am slowly regaining footing however its hard not to disppear at times. I sometimes just sit and stare at my 3yr old and just watch her intently in things she does and remember I am here for her. ...My apologies I ramble. Thank you for taking the time to read. after a little absence, i have returned to my wiccan roots. I had a lot of issues going on, and now im just trying to find myself again. my patron goddesses are persephone, hecate, and demeter. and my god is hades. to me he is like the christian god. i have mixed beliefs. in my belief system, jesus was the son of hades and persephone, who since he could not be born in the underworld(which to me is heaven) because he was not dead, was given to mary to better mankind, and save us from sin. you dont have to agree with me, thats okay. i practice solitarily because there is no one that i know that follows my beliefs. i just want to make friends with people who have an open mind. i will not try to urge others to follow my beliefs. i respect you all enough not to do that. i have two children which currently are being raised christisn, although they can make up their minds about what they believe when they are older. my youngest is 2 and my oldest is 6. we live in rural northern pennsylvania. my husband is christian, although he is open minded and loving. i just wanna make friends
